NFA offers two affordable and efficient programs to help customers and Members resolve a futures-related dispute.
Arbitration is a process where the parties present their arguments and supporting evidence before an impartial third party (or panel) who decides how the matter should be resolved.
Mediation is a settlement process where the parties work together with an independent third party (a mediator) to find a mutually agreeable solution. The mediator does not decide who is right. The mediator also does not decide who pays or who much – only the parties can do that.

Arbitrator Training Web Seminar
On November 1, 2006 NFA hosted an Arbitrator Training Web Seminar. NFA's Arbitration staff discussed a number of arbitrator-related issues including pre-hearing conferences,
conflicts of interests, and recent changes and additions to NFA's Code of Arbitration and Member Rules. As you may know, NFA arbitrators must participate in an arbitration-related
training program every three years. If you were unable to view the seminar live, please note that viewing the archived seminar will also satisfy your mandatory training requirement.
